Tamborine Mountain Edible Garden Trail | Sunday 23 March 2025 - 10am - 4pm

A celebration of sustainable living and the art of growing your own food, visitors and participants are invited to explore a curated range of stunning private gardens showcasing thriving veggie patches, food forests, and innovative growing techniques, meeting passionate gardeners, learning practical tips, and being inspired. From wicking beds to permaculture principles, this trail highlights creative solutions for sustainable gardening in any space. Scenic Rim Farm Gate Trails | Sunday March 30 and Sunday July 20

The famed Scenic Rim Farm Gate Trails see farmers, growers, producers, winemakers, brewers, distillers and flavour-makers across the region open their gates for a day celebrating where food comes from. Visitors leave with full stomachs and a love for the Scenic Rim region, its produce and its people. Scenic Rim Eat Local Month | Friday 30 May - Sunday 29 June 2025

Australia’s most authentic food and farming event is a month-long celebration of paddock to plate experiences across June 2025. Scenic Rim Farming Expo | Friday 13 – Saturday 14 June

For backyard to big acre farmers, this two-day event at Harrisville, proudly hosted by The Rotary and Lions Services Clubs of Harrisville, covers everything, and celebrates the region's farming and rural industries and the natural beauty that surrounds them. Scenic Rim Clydesdale Spectacular | 14 & 15 June 2025

All Clydesdales great and small are celebrated at this hugely popular event and it’s the richest Clydesdale Show in the Southern Hemisphere. The weekend also showcases rare trades including  harness making, blacksmithing, wheelwrights, horse-drawn demonstrations & driving displays, whip plaiting, Whip Cracking Championships, Billy Boiling Championships, wood chopping, working dog displays, Friesian Horse Troupe performances, artisan coopering and more. Trail Running and Mountain Biking Events in the Scenic Rim | March to September

On The Edge Events has officially launched registrations for their series of trail running and mountain biking events in the stunning Scenic Rim. These events are designed to cater to all fitness levels – from beginners ready to tackle their first trail or ride, to seasoned athletes seeking a fresh challenge off the beaten track. Kalbar Country Day | Saturday 18 October

It’s the big country weekend with the famous Hay Bale Trail featuring incredible sculptures all over the area. Locals spend weeks creating their hay bale artworks, look out for Mick-hay and Min-hay Mouse, Slink-hay, the Kalbar J-hay-l (a jail of hay bales) – hay puns galore! And there’s the carrot throwing competitions! Fun fact – did you know the Scenic Rim is the carrot growing capital of Australia, with over 600 million carrots grown annually here.

 

Tamborine Mountain Scarecrow Festival | October

It’s Halloween Tamborine Mountain style!! This famous celebration over three days sees hundreds of scarecrows of all shapes and sizes pop up all over Tamborine Mountain. Make a weekend of it and discover the magic of the mountain – all information here

 

The Long Sunset | November

Australia's most picturesque music festival returns to the staggeringly beautiful Scenic Rim region in November as part of the Scenic Rim Music Trail. Set amidst the rolling hills at Canungra’s breathtaking Elysian Fields, The Long Sunset will feature a dreamworthy lineup of artists, carefully curated to create the perfect soundtrack for this stunning destination.
