***MEDIA ALERT*** Interview opportunity at Tamworth GP Clinic

Royal Australian College of GPs NSW/ACT Chair, Dr Rebekah Hoffman, and local GP, Dr Ian Kamerman, are available for interviews.

Dr Hoffman is visiting the New England region to listen to GPs, practice team members and patients about local general practice care, what is working well, and where more support is needed.

The RACGP NSW/ACT Chair will speak about the positive steps that government can and should take to help boost rural general practice care, including increasing rural GP registrar numbers.

When: Tuesday 25 March 2025

Time: 1pm

Where: NorthWest Health, Level 1, 279B Marius Street, Tamworth.

Note: TV crews and photographers are welcome to take photos and footage inside the clinic, including Dr Hoffman talking to local GPs and practice team member staff.

New Monash Mildura GP Academy to address rural doctor shortage

Monash University is working to address the critical shortage of general practice (GP) doctors in rural Australia, with the announcement of an enhanced training pathway allowing students to complete their training in Mildura.
