New Family First ad exposes the truth behind soaring power bills

Family First < 1 mins read

Family First has launched a hard-hitting new ad campaign highlighting the real reason families are being smashed by rising electricity prices — and it’s not what the major parties are telling you.

Family First’s lead Senate candidate for NSW, Lyle Shelton, says the Albanese Government’s promise to cut power prices by $275 has been exposed as a cruel hoax.

“Despite the promises, families are paying more than ever — and the reason is simple: both Labor and Liberal are obsessed with the globalist net zero agenda,” Mr Shelton said.

“Instead of using our abundant coal, gas and uranium to deliver cheap, reliable energy, politicians are deliberately driving up prices by tying Australia to the failed Paris Agreement and forcing unreliable renewables onto the grid.

“Australia should be the nation with the cheapest power in the developed world. We once were — and we can be again.”

Mr Shelton said the ad was a rallying cry for Australians to reject the insanity of net zero and return to energy policies that put families first.

“If emissions must come down, nuclear is the only proven way to do it while keeping the lights on. Net zero has failed — economically and scientifically. It’s time to get out of Paris and end this madness.”

The ad will be shown on smart TVs and digital platforms in the lead-up to the next election, with a call for Australians to support Family First’s campaign to restore common sense to energy policy.

One in ten women harmed: Family First to push for Senate probe into abortion pill

Family First today announced that if elected to the Senate, its representatives will move urgently to establish a Senate inquiry into the safety of the abortion pill, mifepristone. This follows alarming new research from the Ethics and Public Policy Center revealing that one in ten women who take the abortion pill suffer serious, sometimes life-threatening complications—including sepsis, haemorrhaging, and infection. The study analysed 865,727 prescribed mifepristone abortions between 2017 and 2023, making it the largest real-world study of the abortion pill ever conducted. The real-world harm rate of 10.93 per cent is at least 22 times worse than what abortion…

Poll: Nuclear policy threatens leading Liberal Sukkar’s seat of Deakin

A new uComms poll shows leading Liberal frontbencher Michael Sukkar could lose his seat at the coming election if the Party persists with its unpopular nuclear plan. The poll, commissioned by Liberals Against Nuclear, showsLabor and the Coalition tied at 50-50 in two-party preferred terms in Deakin. However, the same polling reveals that if the Liberals dumped their nuclear policy, they would surge to a commanding 53-47 lead. The polling follows a broader survey across 12 marginal seats that showed the Liberal Party would gain 2.8 percentage points in primary vote if it abandoned the nuclear energy policy. An earlier…
