Lime is rolling out a number of its very own safety event dubbed ‘First Ride Academy’ on the Gold Coast, inviting the community to have a ride on Lime and experience firsthand how micromobility can simplify their daily routines and offer a convenient, eco-friendly way to get around. Residents can test ride Lime’s e-bikes at Broadbeach, Miami and Palm Beach. Those who complete Lime’s safety quiz will score a 10-minute free ride voucher and exclusive merch.

This event has been designed to showcase the convenience of e-bikes while emphasising Lime’s commitment to safety and community engagement. With safety as a top priority for all Lime initiatives, the First Ride Academy ensures everyone can ride with confidence and skill up on their road rules.

Lara Nickless, Lime Operations Manager, said that while many people on the Gold Coast are already riding and relying on Lime, Lime’s First Ride Academy event offers a unique opportunity for newcomers to experience what all the excitement is about in a safe and supportive environment.

“This initiative is a great way to engage the local community with micromobility, and we’re confident that once they see how simple and convenient it is to use, they’ll become lifelong fans,” Lara said. “Lime has and always will be a strong advocate for safe and responsible riding, and this will remain a central focus at all of our events, including the First Ride Academy, where we prioritise both fun and safety for everyone involved.”

With Lime already operating on the Gold Coast, Lime’s First Ride Academy offers a chance to get on board and experience the future of transport.
