Sea Forest Appoints Agricultural Industry Leader John McKillop as Non-Executive Chair

HOBART, TASMANIA — Sea Forest Limited, a leader in sustainable agricultural innovation, today announced the appointment of John McKillop as Non-Executive Chair of its Board.

McKillop brings unparalleled leadership experience in Australia's agricultural sector to Sea Forest, with an extensive history of board positions at influential organizations including Dairy Australia, Meat & Livestock Australia, Dairy Farmers Milk Cooperative, and Compass Agribusiness.

His career includes management of some of Australia's largest and most prestigious cattle operations, having served in leadership roles at Stanbroke Pastoral Company and as CEO of both Hancock Agriculture and S. Kidman & Co.

McKillop currently serves as Chair of the Red Meat Advisory Council, Regional Livestock Exchange, Manor Estates Holding, Maxsil Fertilizer, and innovative agri-tech company Black Box Co.

This appointment comes as Sea Forest secures its first commercial-scale feedlot supply contract and transitions to a more streamlined, independent-led board structure. To facilitate this governance evolution, Patty Akopiantz, Mark Kirkby, Jeremy Atkin and Dion Cohen have stepped down from their directorships while maintaining their positions as supportive shareholders. Dion Cohen continues in his role as Chief Financial Officer.

The reduced board size is in line with operational changes aimed at reducing production volumes and expenditure as the Company awaits customer demand to build.

Stephen Turner, Sea Forest's co-founder and former Chair, will continue his contributions as executive director, working alongside CEO and executive director Sam Elsom in the company's leadership team.

"I'm excited to join Sea Forest at this pivotal moment in its growth," said McKillop. "The company is gaining widespread recognition not only for its impressive climate credentials but also for the significant productivity and weight gain benefits that SeaFeed™ delivers to the beef sector."

Sam Elsom, CEO of Sea Forest, commented: "John's appointment represents a tremendous vote of confidence in our vision and technology. His deep industry knowledge and leadership will be invaluable as we expand SeaFeed's market presence. We're extremely pleased with the additional strategic insight his appointment brings to Sea Forest."
