The Swarovski Tiara illuminated the Vienna Opera Ball last night – one of the most prestigious, historic cultural events in the Austrian social calendar. The audience experienced a fairytale evening as 160 debutant couples waltzed around the magnificent grand ballroom of the Vienna State Opera in exquisitely crafted Swarovski Tiaras that shone brightly in the lights.
Swarovski has partnered with the ball for almost 70 years, creating a stunning new tiara design annually. In the year that the House celebrates its 130th anniversary, the 2025 Vienna Opera Ball and the Swarovski Tiara were particularly special with the tiara design honoring the Swarovski Swan.
Swarovski Global Creative Director, Giovanna Engelbert, designed the Tiara taking inspiration from the Hyperbola jewellery family and the elegance and grace of the House’s emblem. Prong-set baguette and round cut Swarovski Zirconia form graceful loops to evoke feathers or a swan gliding on water. Eight pear drop crystals surround a suspended central stone that danced to capture the light with every waltz around the ballroom floor.
Swarovski CEO, Alexis Nasard, said: “The Vienna Opera Ball and Swarovski are a true symbiosis of Austria, true artistry, and joy. I am delighted that our longstanding partnership grows stronger each year, and that the ball is such a wonderful showcase for Swarovski savoir-faire. Heritage and modernity meet in this beautiful occasion.”
Last night, guests of Swarovski enjoyed a gala dinner at Vienna’s historic Hotel Sacher before the ball. Notable attendees radiant in Swarovski jewellery included Swarovski CEO Alexis Nasard, Candice Swanepoel, Leni Klum, Ed Westwick, Lea Elui, Loz Vassallo, Rebecca Donaldson, Lola Clark, Chiara King, Scott Morton, and George Gorg.
The 2025 Swarovski Tiara can be viewed up close in Swarovski stores in Innsbruck and Vienna, and in Kristallwelten there is a glamorous stage installation that will transport you to a glittering ballroom in which the Vienna Opera Ball Swarovski Tiara is the shining star.
The Hyperbola family is available to buy from Swarovski stores and Swarovski.com.
