Media invite: CDC NSW Launches Commemorative ANZAC Bus with RSL and local leaders – Wednesday 16 April 2025

CDC NSW cordially invites media to attend the official unveiling of our special commemorative "Anzac Spirit" bus tomorrow, Wednesday 16 April. This bus features a custom exterior wrap design depicting iconic images and symbols honouring the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps who currently and have served their country proudly.
 
The design includes silhouettes of Australian diggers, poppies, and an Australian sunrise, along with the words "Lest We Forget" prominently displayed. Following the success of last year's initiative in the Hunter Valley and Sydney, CDC NSW has expanded the program to include the Central Coast region, ensuring more communities can participate in this tribute to service members.

EVs could drive down energy bills for all, new modelling shows

Government rebates that boost the number of EVs feeding energy back into the grid would lower power prices for all Australians, according to new modelling by the Electric Vehicle Council. Vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology, known as bidirectional EV charging, allows energy stored in EVs, which are ‘giant batteries on wheels’, to be sent to the energy grid. The modelling shows that over five years, a $3,000 government rebate towards a V2G charger would create more than $4,500 in downward pressure on electricity bills across Australia. The Rail, Tram and Bus Union (RTBU) Tasmania is calling on all election candidates to commit to ruling out public transport privatisation as new independent research validates the union’s key election priorities.
