“This amazing 3 day event will see crocheters from around Australia converge on the Sunshine Coast for this highly anticipated event.”

"As crocheters, we wear many hats—each one representing a unique role, responsibility, and passion that shapes our daily lives. From nurturing caregivers and partners to entrepreneurs and community builders, the hats we wear constantly shift. We seamlessly juggle multiple identities—balancing careers, family, friendships, and personal growth—all while crafting beauty with our hands. Whether we’re weaving together intricate designs or simply making something from the heart, our creativity empowers us to shape the world in countless ways. Each project we undertake is a reflection of the strength, versatility, and love we pour into everything we do, embracing every challenge and triumph along the way".

The Convention consists of workshops (half day and full day), a yarn market, communal crochet hangout for attendees to sit and stitch 2 evening events including the Evening event Sponsored by Crochet Australia on Saturday night the 'Hook and Stitches Dinner' with a focus on ‘wearing what brings you joy’; Plus presentations and panel discussions on topics related to crochet including:

About us:

Launched in November 2019, Crochet Guild Australia is a very young organisation that is still rapidly evolving. Despite the set backs of the COVID 19 global pandemic that unfolded two months after the launch of the Guild - we are committed to providing a centralised crochet community resource for education, inspiration and teaching tools for those of us who love crochet whether hobbyist or professional.

More and more passionate crocheters are joining the effort and are willing to put their time and work into growing our Guild.  The current committee acknowledges and respects the enormous effort and passion of the founding Management Committee and subsequent committees.  We thank you for having the courage, knowledge and passion to unite and launch Crochet Guild Australia.

New Australian study shows devastating impact of coerced business debt

A pioneering national study, conducted by a Monash University expert in collaboration with consumer advocates, has shed light on the hidden toll of coerced business debt, revealing how business structures are being weaponised to perpetrate financial abuse, resulting in long-term economic hardship.
