As the cost-of-living soars and global markets face continued turbulence, data shows that the world are turning to fine jewellery and gold as a secure store of value and just in time for Mother’s Day, Lloyds Auctions is unlocking the vault.

More than $14 million worth of fine jewellery is going under the hammer in an auction series starting this weekend as Aussies Seek Inflation-Proof Luxury, with bidding starting at just $1 and no reserves.

The auction series will include over 10,000 luxury pieces, from diamonds and gold jewellery to colourful gemstones all available to the public via Lloyds online auction platform.

“This is the ultimate opportunity for everyday Australians to leap into luxury without breaking the bank,” said Lee Hames, Chief Operations Officer at Lloyds Auctions.

According to Knight Franks Attitudes Survey in Q4 2023, Jewellery featured in the top 5 passion investments amongst Australians with Jewellery ranking as the 2nd best performing asset class in 2023 according to their Luxury Investment Index report.

Against this backdrop of economic pressure, the auction provides a timely opportunity for both seasoned investors and thoughtful gifts, especially ahead of Mother’s Day.

“Whether it’s a symbolic gold necklace, a diamond engagement ring, or a sparkling surprise for mum, these auctions let Australians shop smart, spend less, and still give something extraordinary,” Hames added.

What better and more unique way to celebrate Mother’s Day than by experiencing the thrill of bidding on the perfect piece alongside your mum in a live online auction on the special weekend.

While the pieces are located in the U.S. the online auction is open to everyone with global shipping available, making it easy for mums around the world to enjoy the excitement of bidding on timeless treasures together.

The entire auction series is conducted online at lloydsauctions.com.au, making it easy for Australians across the country to participate from home. Bidding is now open with all pieces starting at just $1 with no reserves.
