Euro Manganese Appoints Martina Blahova as Permanent President & CEO

Jane Morgan Management 2 mins read

Sydney, Australia – Euro Manganese Inc. (TSXV/ASX:EMN), a battery materials company focused on producing high-purity manganese for the electric vehicle (EV) industry, has announced the permanent appointment of Ms. Martina Blahova as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately.

Ms. Blahova, who has been serving as Interim CEO since November 2024, will also join the Company’s Board of Directors upon receipt of a director identification number from the Australian Business Registry Services.

Since joining Euro Manganese in 2018, Ms. Blahova has held several senior leadership positions including Chief Financial Officer, and has played a key role in advancing the Company’s flagship Chvaletice Manganese Project in the Czech Republic - the only significant manganese resource in the European Union.

Commenting on the appointment, Martina Blahova, President and CEO of Euro Manganese, said:

I am honoured to be appointed CEO during this transformative period for both Euro Manganese and the European battery materials industry. In recent months, we’ve secured critical government designations, made significant progress on measures to strengthen our financial position, and validated the Project’s strategic relevance to Europe’s decarbonisation goals. I am incredibly proud of our team’s achievements and excited to build long-term value for our stakeholders as we advance our vision of providing a resilient, local, and sustainable supply of high-purity manganese.”

Chairman Rick Anthon welcomed the appointment, adding:

Martina has been instrumental in advancing Euro Manganese’s mission to become Europe’s leading producer of high-purity manganese. As Interim CEO, she demonstrated a clear vision, deep strategic insight, and steady leadership, which are qualities that have helped position the Chvaletice Manganese Project at the heart of Europe’s clean energy transition. Following a robust period of progress under her guidance, the Board is pleased to confirm her appointment as CEO and looks forward to working with her as we move to the next phase of growth.

The Chvaletice Manganese Project represents a unique waste-to-value and environmental remediation opportunity, aiming to supply a resilient and sustainable source of high-purity manganese for European EV battery supply chains. Euro Manganese is also exploring a potential battery-grade manganese project in Bécancour, Québec.

The Company has confirmed that Ms. Blahova’s appointment is supported by a long-term performance-based agreement, consistent with industry practices and aligned with shareholder interests.

New report: Whitehaven Coal’s emissions liabilities a mounting risk to the company, shareholders and climate

Multibillion dollar federal diesel rebate a perverse disincentive for Whitehaven to reduce emissions A new report released today by CarbonBridge and Climate Energy Finance highlights that Whitehaven Coal’s growth trajectory is structurally misaligned with Australia’s climate legislation and emissions targets, exposing Whitehaven, its shareholders and the community to mounting climate, regulatory and financial risks. Having put only limited material mitigation plans in place, the report finds Whitehaven faces growing exposure under the federal government’s Safeguard Mechanism, especially in regard to its fugitive methane emissions exposure. The Safeguard Mechanism is designed to drive down industrial emissions from the nation’s highest-polluting facilities,…
