Grand Opening of Coronation’s Mason & Main Housing and Retail Precinct

Coronation Property 3 mins read

Leading Australian developer and builder Coronation Property (‘Coronation’) today will officially open its multi-award winning Mason & Main housing and retail precinct in the heart of the revitalised Merrylands CBD – delivering 849 new homes into the Western Sydney market.

Designed by renowned, global architects Woods Bagot, the dynamic mixed-use development features Stage One x 434 Build-to-Rent (BTR) and Stage Two x 415 Build-to-Sell (BTS) apartments, premium amenities including a pool, a vibrant retail and ‘Eat Street’ dining area and one of Sydney’s biggest gyms.

Stage One is the biggest BTR project in NSW to date, with local essential workers (teachers, childcare and allied health workers) already moving-in to quality, new rental apartments, allowing them to live close to where they work.

Managing Director Joe Nahas said the completion of Mason and Main was a demonstration of how Coronation was hard at work, creating vibrant new communities across the Sydney metropolitan area.

“We’re proud that Mason & Main has re-defined modern living here in Merrylands, the heart of Western Sydney,” said Mr. Nahas, who was born and bred in Merrylands.

“Just a few minutes’ walk to the station, Mason & Main has brought new life to the Merrylands CBD, it’s an incredible transformation of the urban landscape. We’re giving both buyers and renters alike the chance to live in a new, high-quality apartment, with an amazing offering of lifestyle amenities right on their doorstep.

“Mason & Main demonstrates Coronation’s commitment to delivering a pipeline of new housing solutions in well-connected, well-serviced areas, close to major transport and infrastructure, hospitals, schools and shops. It’s a game changer for Western Sydney.”

The Mason & Main Precinct will also feature Western Sydney’s first-ever One Playground gym, providing an elevated fitness and wellness experience with six group training studios, two semi-private studios, private recovery suites, saunas, and a 1,500sqm weights and cardio area.

Celebrated by industry, Mason & Main last year has won three major industry awards, as joint-winner of the prestigious UDIA NSW President’s Award, winner of the UDIA Award for Excellence in Mixed Use Development and the Outstanding Housing Project category at the Boomtown! Summit 2024.

The official opening of Mason & Main will take place at midday on Saturday 10 May, 2025. Attendees will include guest MC David Borger, Executive Director of Business Western Sydney, Mr Nahas and his Coronation Executive Team, contractors who have worked on the project over many years, new Mason & Main retailers, industry and community leaders, local government representatives and media. Guided tours of the apartments for sale and rent will take place after the opening ‘ribbon-cutting’ event.
