June 30, 2025; Brisbane, Australia: Leading Australian technology services and solutions provider, Data#3, is pleased to announce the appointment of Rowena Collins as General Manager for Queensland and Pacific Islands, effective 1 July 2025. Collins succeeds Ray Merlano, who is retiring after an outstanding career spanning over 27 years with the company.

In her new role, Collins will lead the Queensland and Pacific Islands business, overseeing strategic growth, customer engagement, and operational excellence across the region. Her appointment follows a rigorous selection process, reflecting Data#3’s commitment to both merit-based advancement and the development of internal talent.

“Rowena’s appointment is a testament to the strength of our Queensland business and our continued investment in leadership that understands our customers, our people, and our purpose,” said Data#3 Chief Customer Officer, John Tan. “While we were fortunate to have a strong field of candidates, Rowena’s deep understanding of our business, her collaborative leadership style, and her proven ability to deliver results made her the standout choice. Her strong services background aligns with our commitment to helping customers achieve their business and technology outcomes through highly skilled resources, vendor expertise, and consistent, collaborative delivery that maximises the value of every technology investment.”

Rowena brings over 20 years of experience in the ICT industry, including more than 13 years with Data#3. She has held senior roles across services and major accounts, working with both commercial and government sectors. As a key contributor to the Data#3 Queensland Major Accounts Group, she has consistently delivered cross-line-of-business outcomes, built enduring customer and vendor relationships, and demonstrated a deep understanding of Data#3’s culture.

“I’m incredibly honoured to step into this role and lead such a high-performing and passionate team,” said Collins. “Queensland has always been a strong, strategic market for Data#3, and I’m excited to build on that momentum. I look forward to working closely with our customers, partners, and people to continue delivering exceptional outcomes.”

Data#3 Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Brad Colledge, added, “Ray leaves behind a legacy of strong leadership and customer focus.
