Niessing shines: Explore Sydney’s revamped hidden gem

Soda Communications 2 mins read

Nestled in Sydney’s heritage-listed Strand Arcade, Niessing’s newly refurbished boutique is an intimate space showcasing the brand’s signature innovation and craftsmanship. Highlights include the striking Niessing Heritage Wall, featuring the iconic Spannring®, and a curated collection of wedding rings, all framed by expansive window displays that invite visitors into the world of this renowned German jewellery house.

Established in Germany in 1873, Niessing boasts an international reputation to rival any luxury jewellery brand. Halfway around the world and over 150 years later, Australian clients can experience its incredible range of unique designs.

Niessing CEO Sandro Erl said that the boutique’s redesign blends tradition and modernity, highlighting the brand’s commitment to innovation and elegance.

“The Strand Arcade is the perfect home for our Australian flagship. The refurbishment honours the building’s historic charm while introducing a refined, modern interior that reflects Niessing’s design ethos—creating a truly unique destination” Sandro said.

New collections at Niessing:

At Niessing you can explore their latest collections, including the striking Topia Vision line, the Setario Edition in stunning new colourways, and new additions to the iconic Spanning® collection.

1 While the Topia Vision range depicts the magic of surreal landscapes, inspired by the shimmering waves of the sea, traces of sand and glowing mega-cities, the Setario Edition in Mocha celebrates the colour of the season, emphasising earthy nuances and richness.

The iconic Spannring®, collection, now available in a wider range, adapts to any look. Whether as a delicate necklace or stylish bracelet, these pieces are ideal for special moments or everyday wear.

The refurbished boutique:

The refurbished boutique introduces a ‘retail museum’ concept, anchored by the Niessing Heritage Wall. Brightly lit wooden showcases spotlight the brand’s signature collections. On the left, new panoramic window displays enhance the space with natural light, creating an immersive shopping experience from browsing to consultation.

Expert jewellery advisors are on hand to help customers try on designs, customise pieces, or provide expert guidance in creating bespoke jewellery.

“The Strand Arcade is one of Sydney’s iconic retail destinations and we aim to help create memories for the clients who come and visit us there,” Sandro said.

“Every person who enters our store is an individual, and we strive to help them spark emotions and tell their own stories through our jewellery.

Our Watch announces changes to put Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women at the centre of violence prevention

Our Watch, the national organisation for the prevention of violence against women, has announced the creation of a new Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander directorate. Chief Executive Patty Kinnersly said it recognises the importance of the work needed to tackle the disproportionately high rates of violence against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women. “Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women are 11 times more likely to die due to assault than non-Indigenous women, and experience violence at 3.1 times the rate of non-Indigenous women. “These higher rates of violence are driven by the combined impact of racism, colonisation and gender inequality.…
