Chapter One Advisors 3 mins read

The Agency WA is pleased to announce it has recently made three key leadership appointments as part of its next phase of strategic growth, reinforcing its position as Western Australia's leading full-service real estate firm.

With a reputation as WA’s most awarded real estate office over the last decade—including multiple consecutive years as REIWA’s Top Sales Office—The Agency continues to build on its momentum, investing in talent to strengthen its operations in both sales and property management.

Brett Hancock Appointed Licensee and Compliance Manager – Sales

Brett Hancock joins The Agency as Licensee and Compliance Manager of Sales, bringing over a decade of senior leadership experience to the role. Brett has previously held critical positions including State Sales Manager and Licensee at Arcadia Group, where he oversaw six retirement village communities with more than 600 properties. He also managed the largest real estate office in Rockingham, leading a team of 45+ staff.

Brett is widely respected for his client-first philosophy, open-door leadership style, and strong compliance background. He joins The Agency with a vision to support agents, enhance operational efficiency, and continue driving exceptional client outcomes.

Alayne Meyer-Shaw Appointed Licensee and Head of Property Management – WA

Taking the reins as Licensee and Head of Property Management, Alayne Meyer-Shaw brings a proven track record in compliance, operational leadership, and client service. Known for her strategic oversight and hands-on management style, Alayne leads The Agency’s property management division in WA, which currently oversees more than 800 properties and is expanding by over 30 properties each month.

Alayne is passionate about building high-performing teams and delivering long-term value to landlords and tenants through streamlined operations and responsive service.

Jack Wormington Appointed WA Sales & Performance Manager

In a move to further enhance agent success across WA, The Agency has appointed Jack Wormington as Sales and Performance Manager. Jack brings over 13 years of real estate expertise, including founding two successful agencies, and has received numerous accolades such as REIWA Grand Master status, Top 5 Assisted Agent in WA, and REB’s Top 10 Agents in WA.

Jack’s role focuses on agent performance coaching, leadership, and business development, helping agents unlock peak performance through mentoring, strategic training and performance insights.

Commenting on the appointments, The Agency WA General Manager Stuart Cox said: “We’re incredibly proud of the results we’ve delivered over the past few years, and these appointments are a key part of building on that success. With a clear growth strategy in place, the calibre of our leadership team provides a strong foundation for our continued expansion throughout WA.”

The three high-profile appointments bring over 40 years of combined industry experience to The Agency WA’s leadership team, reinforcing the company's strategic intent to scale operations across the state. The appointments also further validate the strength and appeal of The Agency’s business model in attracting top talent and delivering strong outcomes.

On a national scale, The Agency’s unique model continues to attract top-tier agents. As of January 2025, the group had a footprint of 464 sales agents across six states and territories, including 182 in WA alone. Its direct engagement model—a sharp contrast to traditional franchises—enables the company to respond faster to market movements and better support its agents with minimal overheads.

The result is a business structure that is agile, scalable, and extremely difficult to replicate—offering unparalleled support to its people and consistently strong outcomes for clients.

With a national brand built for today’s market and tomorrow’s opportunities, The Agency continues to stand apart as one of Australia’s most formidable and future-ready real estate groups.
