JD Sports Opens Largest ANZ Flagship on Bourke Street Mall, Melbourne.

Melbourne, July 2025 Global sports fashion retailer JD Sports continues its rapid expansion in Australia with the opening of their new global flagship store on Melbourne’s iconic Bourke Street Mall — officially opening at 9 am, Thursday, 10th of July 2025.

 

Spanning 1,631m² across two levels, the flagship store sets a new benchmark for sports style retail across Australia and New Zealand, combining a physical and digital retail experience with immersive design. The store becomes the largest JD Sports location in the ANZ market and marks the brand’s third global flagship opening in as many months.

 

The store features:

 

  • Exclusive shop-in-shops from major global brands such as Nike, adidas, New Balance, On and ASICS.
  • The latest, globally designed and digital-based “Home of Air” Nike shop-in-shop for footwear.
  • Two interactive product activation zones
  • Elevated store architecture and design inspired by global JD flagships across Manchester, Las Vegas, London, Berlin, and Paris

 

Shoppers can expect access to the latest and most sought-after releases from leading brands including Nike, Jordan, adidas, New Balance, ASICS, and The North Face, alongside JD-exclusive products. Opening-week highlights include special drops such as the latest JD Exclusive Nike Air Max 95s, Nike Shox, adidas Sambas, Air Jordans, and the latest from ASICS and New Balance.

They kicked off with a mix of 300 of Melbourne’s movers and shakers, as well as brand representatives and influencers at a pre-opening event yesterday evening.

The store was opened at 9AM this morning with a ribbon cutting attended by Head of APAC Hilton Seskin and Melbourne Acting Lord Mayor, Roshena Campbell. Over 300 people were lining up as early as midnight to get a look at the new store and shop exclusive items.
