Melbourne blooms in preparation for the 14th World Chambers Congress

The Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry 2 mins read

With less than two months to go before the 14th World Chambers Congress (14WCC), Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chief President Adrian Kloeden joined Victorian Minister for Economic Growth and Jobs Danny Pearson, Deputy Lord Mayor of Melbourne Roshena Campbell and Melbourne Convention Bureau Chief Sales and Customer Experience Officer Nicolena Oborn to unveil the 14WCC Logo Garden Bed and announce Victorian Government support for this flagship event.

From 2 to 4 September 2025, Melbourne will host up to 2,000 chamber executives, business leaders, government representatives and industry experts from more than 100 countries at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre for this once in a generation opportunity for Victoria.

The 14WCC is held every second year and this is the first time that Victoria has hosted, following a successful 10WCC in Sydney in 2017. Held in collaboration with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and its World Chambers Federation (WCF), the 14WCC provides an unparalleled platform for global leaders to share best practices, build networks and tackle the most pressing challenges shaping the world economy.

This year’s theme, “Business, chambers, government: Partners for prosperity”, highlights the importance of collaborative global leadership in creating innovative solutions and ensuring sustainable progress.

Victorian Government support for the Congress, will play a central role in elevating the State’s international trade and investment profile. The Congress will be a powerful showcase of Victoria’s strengths across key sectors, from advanced manufacturing and clean energy to agribusiness, digital technology and education.

The partnership strengthens the State’s position as a gateway to the Asia-Pacific and supports the growth of Victorian exporters and small to medium-sized enterprises looking to scale internationally.

The 14WCC will also provide a vital platform for bilateral and multilateral dialogue, enabling engagement between governments, chambers and business leaders to foster new connections and commercial outcomes.

To celebrate the event, Melbourne’s Logo Garden Bed at the Marquis of Linlithgow Memorial Reserve is blooming in a bespoke 14WCC design – a welcome to international delegates and a visual reminder of the significance of this event to our city and state. The installation will remain in place until the Congress closes, symbolising Victoria’s proud welcome to the world.
