Western Sydney gets a Taste of Luxury with Month-Long Oyster Festival

West HQ 2 mins read

Forget the sea breeze this August – Head West for the Largest Inland Oyster Shellebration

West HQ is flipping the script on traditional seafood festivals by hosting Australia’s largest inland oyster celebration, with its inaugural Western Sydney Oyster Festival being officially launched on World Oyster Day.

Running throughout August across the venue, the festival follows from the success of Oyster promotions held by the venue’s Steak & Oyster Co by Sean Connolly over the past two years.

With Connolly, West HQ saw the opportunity to do more to support the NSW oyster industry and, at the same time place Western Sydney firmly on the culinary map by creating the festival.

The festival includes weekly appearances by NSW’s top oyster farmers and aquaculture experts from East 33 (part of the Yumbah Aquaculture Group) and educational displays throughout the venue.

There are also exclusive Sydney Rock Oyster dishes being across the venue’s premium food brands – Steak & Oyster Co by Sean Connolly, CHU Restaurant by China Doll, Pizzaperta Manfredi and New Town Thai.
