Filps and City Bank Announce Strategic Partnership to Reinvent Citytouch and Accelerate AI-Led Digital Banking in Bangladesh

DHAKA, BD / ACCESS Newswire / August 21, 2025 / Filps Limited, a UAE-based fintech company from South Asia, has announced a strategic partnership with City Bank PLC to revamp Citytouch, the bank's flagship digital banking platform, and accelerate an AI-driven, customer-centric transformation for retail and SME customers across Bangladesh. The announcement follows the successful Bankers' Meet 2025 in Dhaka, where global futurist Brett King delivered the keynote and industry leaders convened to discuss the next era of banking in the country.

A ceremonial MoU exchange was held between Mr. Biswas Dhakal, CEO of Filps, and Mr. Mashrur Arefin, MD & CEO of City Bank, alongside Brett King. The event was attended by senior directors from Bangladesh Bank, MDs and CEOs of commercial banks, C-suite professionals, and distinguished leaders. Mr. Hossain Khaled, Chairman, Mr. Aziz Al Kaiser, Immediate Past Chairman and Mr. Kazi Azizur Rahman, AMD & CIO joined from City Bank. NAB to face Australia’s first bank shareholder resolutions on nature risk on Friday
