IDENTITY PR 2 mins read

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – The Great Australian Rum Co. is proud to announce its official launch, bringing a bold new voice to the world of premium spirits. Led by Australian music icon Shannon Noll, the company is redefining what Australian rum can be—rich in character, refined in quality, and unapologeticaly local.

At Great Australian Rum Co., we take a small-batch approach to rum-making,” says Noll. “Every barrel is hand-selected, every finish meticulously crafted. This isn’t just rum—it’s a reimagining of the category.”

The company’s production philosophy is grounded in excellence, using a multi-cask finishing process that layers flavour and depth. From maple syrup barrels to rare muscat casks, each expression brings something unique to the glass, aiming to bridge the gap between traditional rum drinkers and whisky lovers.

Flagship Release: KING BROWN

Recently awarded Silver at the 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Awards, KING BROWN is a showcase of craftsmanship and complexity. This double-distilled Australian rum begins with a smooth base aged two years in American Oak, before finishing across an intricate lineup of casks—ex-Shiraz French Oak, Maple Syrup, Bourbon, and finally Muscat.

Crafted under the guidance of Master Blender Shannon Noll, KING BROWN is the first in a series of premium rums set to elevate Australia’s profile on the global stage.

The Core Range Includes:

  • GOLD RUM
A refined blend of ex-red wine and ex-bourbon casks. With warm vanilla, toasted oak, golden syrup, and spiced citrus notes, it’s a rum that surprises and delights.
  • WHITE RUM
Distilled four times and aged for a minimum of two years, this smooth spirit brings subtle oak and tropical character, ideal for sipping or mixing.
  • SPICED RUM
A native botanical blend that captures the essence of Australia. Bottled at 40% ABV, it’s bold enough to stand alone, smooth enough to mix.

An Icon's New Chapter

A household name with a voice that’s become part of the national fabric, Shannon Noll now turns his passion and dedication to rum. “From the stage to the still, I’ve always chased excellence. With Great Australian Rum Co., I’m not just chasing it—I’m bottling it.”

Launching in late 2025, Great Australian Rum Co. aims to set a new standard in premium Australian spirits. From connoisseurs to first-time sippers, there’s something in every bottle to discover.
