Senator Fatima Payman is hosting a 'WA Small Business Round Table' today, ahead of the government's own event next week.

The meeting, involving a group of representatives from WA small business associations and local chambers of commerce, will inform the Senator's keen support for the sector, and will result in a 'wish list' for WA small businesses.

A picture opportunity is available at the start of the meeting at 11am, with Senator Payman and other participants available for interviews after the event.

The Commonwealth should increase its funding of public hospitals to a 50-50 share with the states and territories, Catholic Health Australia said today as health ministers meet in Brisbane. Analysis of AIHW data by Catholic Health Australia finds public hospitals are under severe pressure, leading to sliding performance in recent years.
