Wallabies vs British & Irish Lions Live Site – Cancelled Due to Weather

North Sydney Council < 1 min read

Due to ongoing wet weather, the Wallabies vs British & Irish Lions Live Site event scheduled for Saturday 2 August 2025 at North Sydney Oval has been cancelled.

Ticket holders will receive full refunds via Ticketek—no action is required.

The Live Site was planned as the finale of the inaugural North Sydney Rugby Festival, a four-day celebration of rugby featuring international matches, junior clinics, a family-friendly Fan Zone, and a charity karaoke night supporting Hearts in Rugby Union Australia.

Continued rainfall has made it impractical to proceed with the Saturday event.

North Sydney Council thanks the community for its support of the Festival and shares in the disappointment of needing to cancel the final day.

While fans won’t be able to gather at the Oval, they are encouraged to enjoy the match from the comfort of home or at a local pub or club—and cheer on the Wallabies with fellow supporters.

Fans can still catch the thrilling Wallaroos vs Wales match at the Oval tonight. The match marks a significant moment for the Wallaroos as they prepare for the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup, offering a fantastic opportunity to witness elite women’s rugby in action.

The North Sydney Rugby Festival is proudly supported by North Sydney Council, in partnership with Rugby Australia and the Classic Wallabies.
