Rae-Louise Wright, 25, proudly represents her hometown as the 2024 Warwick Rodeo Queen. A late starter in the saddle at 13, she’s since ridden across disciplines, spent a year working on Gogo Station near Fitzroy Crossing in the remote Kimberley region of Western Australia, and earned a business and commerce degree from the University of Southern Queensland. She recently represented stage at Cheyenne Frontier Days in Wyoming  where she joined USA’s state and national rodeo Queens and participated in arena fly-bys (where she raced around the arena on horseback flying the Australian flag). The Queen Quest is judged on horsewoman ship skills, knowledge of rodeo and campdraft and the region, Public Speaking skills and has a minimum $1000 fundraising component.

Kimberley Sammon – winner of the famous 2024 GOLD CUP (campdraft) – only the third woman ever to take the title!!!!

In the legendary Gold Cup campdraft last year, Beaudesert’s Kimberley Sammon rode the black stallion SDP Scott David to victory, becoming only the third woman ever to claim the coveted Cup. There was no questioning her dominance, she left Warwick with two buckles, after also taking out the Ladies Silver Cup. Kimberley just welcomed a baby boy, Tommy, into the world.

18 year old Lucas Taylor – 2024 junior bull buckle winner

The Junior Bull Ride went to Rosewood’s Lucas Taylor, a cowboy whose trophy shelf is already sagging. By the end of 2024, Taylor had stacked up the NRA Open Bull Riding Champion title, NRA Rookie Bull Riding Champion, Elite Bull Riders Australia Novice Champion, Elite Bull Riders Australia Junior Champion, and Wrangler Youth Bull Riders World Finals Reserve Champion. This year, Lucas rides in the opens!

Warwick Rodeo and Gold Cup Campdraft: Monday 20 to Sunday 26 October
