NSW Premier Chris Minns to meet with Walter Mikac AM on urgent need for Government to block changes to gun laws

WHAT: Alannah & Madeline Foundation’s founder Walter Mikac AM is meeting with Premier Chris Minns and Opposition members at Parliament TODAY to discuss the Hunting Bill, expected to be introduced shortly. Mr Mikac, whose wife Nanette, and two daughters, Alannah and Madeline, were killed at Port Arthur, has called on Mr Minns to stand by his commitment to not water down gun laws and reject the Hunting Bill proposed by the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party in full.

The Alannah & Madeline Foundation was founded 28 years ago by Walter Mikac AM, and a small group of volunteers in memory of Walter’s young daughters Alannah and Madeline, aged just six and three, who tragically lost their lives along with their mother and 32 others at Port Arthur in Tasmania on 28 April 1996.
