VARISCAN MINES COMPLETES 3D SURVEY AT UDÍAS MINE TO DRIVE MINERAL RESOURCE GROWTH AND SUPPORT PLANNING

Jane Morgan Management < 1 mins read

29 September 2025 – Sydney, Australia | Variscan Mines Limited (ASX:VAR) (“Variscan” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce the completion of a high-resolution 3D underground laser survey at the historic Udías Mine in Northern Spain. The survey marks a significant milestone in the Company’s exploration and development activity within its Novales-Udías Zinc Project.

The digital mapping has revealed over 7,500 metres of historic underground development across six levels and confirmed multiple extensions of high-grade zinc mineralisation. The survey demonstrates that the Udías and San Jose Mines are part of a single, continuous mineral system.

The 3D laser scan, performed using state-of-the-art mobile technology, provides the first accurate geospatial model of the Udías Mine’s underground workings. This model integrates historical drilling as well as face sampling data, along with current exploration results and is expected to directly inform future drill targeting, mine planning, and Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) updates.

The survey area remains open toward the south-east, where further historic workings (including Los Llagos, La Rasa, and Duña) are located.

Variscan expects the following developments in the coming quarter:

  • Further assay results from the ongoing drilling program at Udías

  • Results from metallurgical and geotechnical testing to inform the Mine Re-Start (Scoping) Study

Publication of the Mine Re-Start (Scoping) Study
