CANBERRA, Wednesday 29 October 2025 — Ahead of Environment Minister Murray Watt tabling the draft legislation of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Act reforms, Greenpeace has spokespeople available in Canberra today and tomorrow for interview, analysis, background and media meetings.

Greenpeace Australia Pacific has been actively involved in the reform process with Minister Watt’s office, and our experts are available to provide technical analysis of the draft legislation, as well as political analysis of the path forward.

Glenn Walker, Head of Nature at Greenpeace Australia Pacific – Canberra
Glenn has been campaigning on nature laws for more than 15 years, and can offer expert commentary and analysis on the proposed bill, the Albanese government’s obligation to ensure EPBC reforms are robust and fit-for-purpose, Australia’s deforestation crisis and the framework and key tests Greenpeace is calling for the reforms to meet.

David Ritter, CEO at Greenpeace Australia Pacific – Canberra

David has been closely involved in the consultation process convened by Minister Watt this year, and can offer analysis on the proposed Bills, the positions of different stakeholders in the reform process, and the ability of strong nature laws to deliver economic and ecological benefits for Australia. David can also outline what needs to happen in the next month to deliver credible nature protection laws.
