Locksley Launches High-Resolution Survey to Fast-Track Mojave Rare Earths and Antimony Exploration

Jane Morgan Management 2 mins read

Perth, Australia – Locksley Resources Limited (ASX:LKY; OTCQX:LKYRF; FSE:X5L) has commenced a high-resolution helicopter-based magnetic and radiometric survey across its Mojave Project in San Bernardino County, California, marking a major step forward in its strategy to accelerate critical minerals exploration.

The survey, conducted by Colorado-based EDCON-PRJ Inc. and managed by leading geophysical consultants SGC, will fly 40-metre-spaced lines at an average height of 35 metres - a five-fold increase in data density over existing USGS datasets. The resulting high-definition imagery will enable detailed structural interpretation to identify new rare earth element (REE) and antimony drill targets.

Locksley Managing Director & CEO Kerrie Matthews said the survey represents a key milestone in building the foundational datasets needed to fast-track exploration activities across the Mojave Project.

Undertaking this high-resolution survey builds on the foundational datasets which Locksley is acquiring to fast-track exploration activities across Mojave.

Our exploration strategy is to both advance the already identified El Campo REE and Desert Antimony Mine Prospects through drilling, whilst simultaneously aggressively exploring across the rest of our claims to grow the project pipeline

The success of this strategy is already evident through the recent identification of the high-grade Hendricks Silver Prospect, proving the value of our systematic approach. In addition, the appointment of SGC as geophysical consultants to the Company brings a high calibre of technical expertise to complement our existing team.”

The new magnetics and radiometrics survey will significantly improve upon regional-scale USGS data, allowing Locksley to map mineralised NNE–SSW structures known to host antimony at the Desert Antimony Mine and Hendricks Prospects, while defining discrete REE targets associated with strong thorium signatures in carbonatite systems.

Data acquisition is expected to conclude in early November 2025, followed by processing, interpretation, and targeted geological mapping of the historic Desert Antimony Mine underground workings.
