A rapidly growing market
Microgrids are increasingly being deployed across critical infrastructure, industrial and commercial sites and remote communities to reduce costs, enhance resilience, and integrate renewable energy at scale. They are particularly important for sectors such as healthcare, data centres, defence, and transport, where even short interruptions to supply can have significant consequences.

Delivering impact in Australia

In collaboration with UCS Group, Schneider recently deployed an intelligent microgrid solution at UCS’s own site in Victoria. The system, powered by EcoStruxure™ Microgrid Flex and EcoStruxure™ Microgrid Advisor, has delivered more than 60% monthly savings on electricity bills, enabled 100% utilisation of onsite solar, and improved energy stability while reducing emissions
The solution applies AI-driven forecasting and optimisation to orchestrate solar generation, battery charging and discharging, and EV charging. The result is a reliable and efficient system that lowers costs, maximises renewable energy use, and strengthens resilience.
