1414 Degrees (ASX: 14D) Aurora Energy Project Update

1414 Degrees Limited (ASX:14D) 2 mins read

1414 Degrees Ltd (ASX: 14D) ("1414 Degrees", “14D’, or the "Company") provides the following update on activities at the Aurora Energy Precinct ("Precinct"). The Precinct is managed by a joint venture company, SiliconAurora Pty Ltd which has obtained Crown Sponsorship and all key planning and environmental approvals for the Precinct, located north of Port Augusta in South Australia’s Upper Spencer Gulf Renewable Energy Zone.

The Aurora Energy Precinct remains a cornerstone asset in 1414 Degrees’ long-duration energy storage and decarbonisation strategy. 1414 Degrees manages the development of a battery energy storage system (“BESS”) for the joint venture company, and is independently developing a long duration thermal energy storage (“TES”) facility approved for the site. This development is staged, and 1414 Degrees is also exploring the provision of infrastructure and firmed power for data centres as part of its TES planning, leveraging the Precinct’s high-capacity transmission access and existing fibre-optic connectivity.
