Sydney, Australia – Sofitel Sydney Wentworth is rolling out the red carpet for romance as it partners with Pretty Woman: The Musical as the official hotel partner in Sydney, bringing one of cinema’s most beloved love stories to life in a way only Sofitel can, with Parisian flair, timeless elegance, and a touch of theatre.

As Sydney gears up for the arrival of Pretty Woman: The Musical, Sofitel Sydney Wentworth invites guests to step into the glamour of the stage and screen with the Pretty Woman Oh-La-La-La Lift experience, running until the 13th December. Designed to celebrate one of the most iconic moments in romantic film history, this immersive installation reimagines the iconic hotel elevator.

In a nod to the grandeur of a bygone era, the lift will feature its very own bell boy, evoking the old-world service and sophistication of luxury hotels, ensuring guests are whisked from arrival to destination. without so much as lifting a finger. Inside, a velvet chaise lounge adds a touch of indulgence and cinematic charm, setting the scene for Vivian’s unforgettable line: “Well, colour me happy, there’s a sofa for two in here.” The quote will be decaled onto the lift mirrors, transforming the space into a glamorous selfie moment, the perfect keepsake for those wanting to live out their own Pretty Woman moment.

To toast the partnership, the hotel will also host a series of experiences throughout the month. Every Friday and Saturday from 3 pm to 5 pm, in-house guests and visitors will be greeted with a complimentary glass of bubbles, and couples will receive a signature Pretty Woman rose.

Then it’s into the Wentworth Express, where guests make their way to Wentworth Bar, the rooftop terrace, where the glamour of Hollywood meets the buzz of Sydney’s theatre scene. Sip on the indulgent Pretty Woman-inspired Strawberry Yuzu Spritz cocktail ($20) or the theatrical, share-style cocktail creation designed for up to four guests ($99), a nod to the scene where Edward first offers Vivian strawberries and bubbles. Or go back down to bar tilda, a cocktail bar blending old-world character with a modern edge, for the Pretty Woman-inspired Strawberry Vodka Gimlet, a sparkling twist on a classic with HM Vodka, strawberry, finger lime and lavender bitters ($23).

Pair these cocktails with morish bites including Vietnamese Beef Tartare with cassava crackers, and Tuna Tartare with green mango, ginger and chilli jam, amongst other delicious snacks.

Whether guests are visiting for a staycation, a cocktail, a curated dining experience, or simply to experience the magic of one of cinema’s most romantic moments, Sofitel Sydney Wentworth invites Sydneysiders and visitors alike to rediscover the joy of grand hotels and the allure of a Hollywood classic.
