INK & DRINK x MANIAX LAUNCH AUSTRALIA’S WILDEST NEW NIGHT OUT: AXE THROWING MEETS TATTOO ART

Tide Comms 2 mins read

Two experiential powerhouses join forces to deliver a boundary-breaking fusion of skill, creativity and chaos.

Ink & Drink and MANIAX are teaming up to ignite December nights with a new collaboration that fuses adrenaline, artistry and after-dark energy into one ticketed experience.

Launching as a limited-run pop-up across Sydney and Melbourne, the Ink & Drink x MANIAX series is redefining what a night out can look like. Bringing together two cult-favourite activities, the event gives guests the chance to unleash both their aim and their artistry across one action-packed evening, in one venue.

Each session kicks off with 30 minutes of axe throwing, led by MANIAX’s expert coaches, who guide participants through technique, safety, and the thrill of landing a bullseye. Guests then shift from high energy to high creativity with a two-hour tattoo art workshop using synthetic practice skin (no live tattooing on the night), led by Ink & Drink’s seasoned instructors. With tattoo machines, inks, stencils and all materials provided, attendees walk away with their own custom artwork to keep.

With trained coaches supervising and all gear included, the pop-up offers an all-in, hands-on experience that blends skill, creativity and unforgettable fun.

“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Ink & Drink to create something truly unique for our guests,” says Adam Schilling, MANIAX’s Founder. “Axe throwing and tattooing collide to create an atmosphere that’s electric, creative, and unmistakably MANIAX, making it the ultimate way to energise your midweek routine.”

Running exclusively on Wednesdays in December 2025, the experience will be hosted at MANIAX Sydney Inner West and MANIAX Melbourne CBD, with sessions held on 3, 10 and 17 December from 6pm–9pm. Tickets are priced at $100, with bar service available after the axe-throwing component, in accordance with venue safety guidelines.

As with all MANIAX experiences, safety is at the forefront: closed-toe shoes are essential, punctual arrival is required for the 6:10pm axe-throwing start, and all participants must sign waivers and follow coach instructions throughout the session.

With limited dates and high demand expected, the Ink & Drink x MANIAX collaboration is set to be one of summer’s most talked-about nights out – where daring meets design, and guests leave with not just memories, but artwork of their own making.
