To show support for the United Nations’ (UN) 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign, the Presiding Officers will be illuminating the façade of Parliament House in orange on Tuesday 25 November.
This is the fourth time Parliament House has supported this campaign.
As a bright and optimistic colour, orange represents a future free from violence against women and girls.
The illumination aligns with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
It calls on people to wear the colour orange and take action to end violence against women and girls.
