What: NTEU members from the University of Newcastle will strike for 24 hours and rally outside state parliament 

 

Union members will be protesting against a 60-year UoN celebration event inside parliament house. The event is being held at the same time university management has refused to engage constructively on pay negotiations and announced 140 job cuts

 

Who: NTEU members to make rally speeches and available for interview. MPs boycotting the event are also expected to attend

 

When: Wednesday November 19, midday

 

Where: Outside NSW Parliament, Macquarie Street, Sydney
