Pantera defines seven high-priority drill targets at Gillham Silver-Antimony Project, Arkansas

Jane Morgan Management 2 mins read

Perth, Australia – Pantera Lithium Limited (ASX:PFE) has identified seven high-impact exploration targets across its Gillham Silver-Antimony Project in southwest Arkansas, marking the first modern exploration program in the historic district in over a century.

The newly delineated targets – five within the Gillham East lease and two in Gillham West – were defined following a detailed geological and structural interpretation of approximately 5,000 acres of mineral leases. The work highlights multiple zones of antimony-silver-base-metal potential within a region that previously hosted more than 18 mine sites but has never undergone systematic modern exploration.

Pantera’s technical studies confirm the presence of extensive fold and fault systems controlling mineralisation, including the historic Davis silver–base-metal mine corridor, providing a clear roadmap for near-term drilling and sampling programs.

The Gillham Project sits within a proven U.S. critical-minerals jurisdiction, supported by favourable policy and infrastructure. Both antimony and silver are now officially listed on the U.S. Geological Survey’s 2025 Critical Minerals List, underscoring the project’s growing strategic relevance amid tightening global supply chains and recent Chinese export restrictions.

Pantera Executive Chairman and CEO, Barnaby Egerton-Warburton, said:

The U.S. Geological Survey’s confirmation of antimony, along with silver, lead and copper, on the 2025 Critical Minerals List reinforces its strategic importance in securing domestic supply chains for defence alloys, semiconductors, and emerging energy-storage technologies.

Recent export restrictions from China for antimony and silver have underscored supply vulnerabilities, making our work at Gillham particularly well timed. With seven priority targets now defined, Pantera is strongly positioned to advance a U.S.-based source of critical and associated base metals within a supportive regulatory and infrastructure framework.”

Next Steps

Pantera will now undertake a staged exploration program including:

  • Field mapping and structural verification across identified corridors

  • Sampling of historical mines and prospects

  • Soil and rock geochemical surveys

  • Initial drilling of high-priority targets

This program is designed to fast-track delineation of scale, grade, and continuity while delivering a steady pipeline of technical newsflow.

Advance Metals (ASX:AVM) discovers shallow, high-grade gold east of Happy Valley

Advance Metals Limited (ASX: AVM) has discovered a new shallow, high-grade gold structure immediately east of its Happy Valley Deposit at the Myrtleford Project in Victoria’s highly prospective goldfields, intersecting coarse visible gold less than 50 metres below surface. The discovery was made in step-out diamond drill hole AMD016, which intersected a previously unrecognised quartz vein structure approximately 100 metres east of the historic Happy Valley workings. Assay results for the upper portion of the hole have confirmed the high-grade nature of the mineralisation, returning 0.6 metres at 66.7 grams per tonne gold from 51.3 metres, representing the shallowest gold…
