Patriot Resources Doubles Strike Length at Kitumba Target B1 Following High-Resolution Geophysics

JMM 2 mins read

Patriot Resources Limited (ASX: PAT) has significantly expanded the scale potential of its Kitumba Project in Zambia, with new high-resolution ground magnetics and IP survey results doubling the strike length of Target B1 and identifying additional parallel structures.

The survey, conducted across a 30-hectare block at Target B1, confirms a much larger and more complex polymetallic Cu-Zn-Pb system than previously recognised, reinforcing the project’s potential to host a district-scale mineralised system.

The geophysical work follows the discovery of polymetallic mineralisation in Phase 1 trenching, with gold assays still pending this quarter and representing further upside.

Key Outcomes

  • Strike length doubled at the main mineralised zone (Zone 1) from ~200m to ~400m.

  • Two new parallel structures identified, expanding the mineralised footprint.

  • High chargeability anomalies (30–40m wide, to ~100m depth) mapped and open along strike and at depth.

  • Strong near-surface sulphide indicators align with trench-confirmed Cu-Zn-Pb mineralisation.

  • Phase 2 trenching to commence imminently to refine high-priority drill targets.

The integration of magnetics, IP chargeability and resistivity data has mapped several low-magnetic, sulphide-associated anomalies interpreted as structurally controlled mineralisation. High-chargeability zones of 2.4–3.5mV/V extend for 300–400m and correlate strongly with visible sulphides observed in earlier trenching.

The geophysical survey also detected multiple high-resistivity zones indicative of silicification and quartz veining features commonly associated with polymetallic systems previously mapped on-ground.

Management Comment

Executive Chairman, Hugh Warner, commented:
“This is an excellent step forward at Kitumba. The geophysics has materially expanded the mineralised footprint and confirmed we are dealing with a much larger polymetallic system open in all directions, giving us strong confidence heading into Phase 2 trenching and subsequent drill planning. With gold assays still pending from Phase 1, we believe there is meaningful upside still to come at Target B1.”

Next Steps

  • Phase 2 trenching to ground-truth key anomalies.

  • Extension of ground magnetics and IP survey grid to test strike and depth potential.
