Pommery Announced as the Official Champagne Partner to the Sydney Opera House

Tide Communications 2 mins read

A partnership celebrating creativity, culture and artistic excellence at Australia’s most iconic landmark.

Two global cultural icons, Champagne Pommery and the Sydney Opera House, have unveiled a new three-year alliance that will see the Maison become the official Champagne Partner.

Marking a significant chapter, Pommery will be enjoyed during Opening Night celebrations and special performances, adding a touch of elegance to these unforgettable moments at Australia’s most distinguished stage. As part of the collaboration, Pommery will also be the official Event Partner to the Sydney Opera House’s renowned Utzon Music series, a program honouring chamber performance and contemporary classical expression.

“Pommery is delighted to partner with the Sydney Opera House, a globally renowned monumental institution that embodies creativity and world-class artistry,” said Nathalie Vranken, Owner and Global CEO of Vranken-Pommery Monopole. “From the visionary patronage of Madame Pommery in the 19th century, to our underground #Expérience contemporary art exhibitions in Reims, Pommery has long supported artists and cultural expression. Bringing this spirit to one of the world’s most celebrated stages is both an honour and a continuation of our rich legacy in championing the arts,” continued Vranken.

Opera House CEO Louise Herron AM shares their excitement for the partnership: “I’m delighted to welcome Pommery to the Opera House family. As well as sharing a place on UNESCO’s World Heritage list, our organisations are synonymous with innovation and creativity. I’m confident that together we will make the experience of visiting the Opera House even more memorable.”

“The Opera House holds a special place in the hearts of Australians and international visitors. To see Pommery at such an extraordinary landmark is a true honour. The partnership is about elevating moments of celebration with the refinement and craftsmanship that define Pommery,” Inge Fransen, CEO of Vranken-Pommery Australia.

Founded in 1836 and led by one of France's first female entrepreneurs, Maison Pommery is internationally celebrated for pioneering the modern brut style and for its pursuit of innovation, craftsmanship and cultural patronage. Today, the brand remains guided by the visionary legacy of Madame Pommery - a woman who once expressed, "I want my Estate to be like an open book, facing the world and time. Leave your imprint on it, as I have left mine, for posterity”. Her words perfectly echo the Sydney Opera House’s own vision to be Everyone's House.

Through this partnership, shaped by today’s female leadership, her spirit will now be poured into one of the world’s most celebrated stages.
