Food South Australia 3 mins read

Adelaide, 14 November 2025: South Australia’s food and beverage stars lit up the Adelaide Convention Centre at the 2025 South Australian Premier’s Food and Beverage Industry Awards, presented by Food South Australia.

For more than 25 years, the awards have celebrated excellence across the state’s largest manufacturing sector and this year’s theme, “Shaping the Future: Honouring Legacy, Celebrating Excellence,” perfectly captured the night’s spirit.

Topping the evening, Almondco Australia took home the coveted Business Excellence Award, alongside wins in the Sustainability Award and Export Award categories, showcasing the innovation, dedication, and quality that define South Australia’s food and beverage industry.

The night also celebrated exceptional achievement and industry impact, with Slape & Sons inducted into the Hall of Fame, recognising their sustained excellence, commitment to the industry, and lasting contribution to the sector. Beerenberg and feather&PECK were crowned Consumer Choice Award winners, proving their products continue to win hearts across the state.

Highlights included the presentation of the Leader Award to Alister Haigh of Haigh’s Chocolates, recognising his exceptional industry leadership. The next generation was also celebrated, with Phil Donnelly of Mayfair Bakery & Patisserie receiving the Next Generation Award and It’s Olio honoured with the Emerging Business Award—acknowledging rising talent and innovative ventures shaping the industry’s future.

Food South Australia CEO, Tori Dixon-Whittle, said:

“These awards celebrate the people, products, and businesses that make South Australia’s food and beverage industry extraordinary — from proud family legacies to bold new ventures shaping the future.”

South Australian Premier, Hon Peter Malinauskas MP, said:

"This industry drives jobs, supports communities, and showcases South Australia's finest produce to the world. Tonight's winners highlight the talent and dedication that make our state a global leader in food and beverage manufacturing."

Proudly presented by Food South Australia with the support of the Government of South Australia, each year the awards recognise excellence across the state’s food and beverage manufacturing sector.
