South Australians won’t COP global elites putting pressure on their power prices

Family First Party < 1 mins read

South Australians don’t need a $2 billion taxpayer-funded climate talkfest in Adelaide so virtue signalling global elites can put more upward pressure on families’ electricity bills.

Family First Upper House candidate Deepa Mathew said Premier Peter Malinauskas should be focussing on taking the pressure off families, not piling it on by leaning into the expensive net zero agenda global elites will be pushing at COP.

“Labor and Liberal’s love of net zero is only delivering pain to families and small business through rising electricity costs.

“When energy goes up, the cost of everything goes up.

“A global conference in Adelaide costing taxpayers $2 billion to put on will only put even more pressure on South Australia to adopt expensive and unreliable energy.

“With state Liberal and Labor wedded to net zero, Family First will be fighting all the way to the march election to take the pressure off families,” Ms Mathew said.

‘Look after your super, and it’ll look after you’: new education initiative urges young Australians to care for their golden super goose

Launched today by the Super Members Council, the ‘Look after your super’ initiative uses a distinctive creative concept – the Golden Super Goose – to help more younger Australians better understand how super works, why it matters, and how even small actions today can mean you have more money in retirement. Despite being one of Australians’ largest financial assets, super remains…

Statement on the arrest of 20-year-old man on terrorism charges

We’re at a beautiful intersection when Ramadan, Lent and Lunar New Year are being observed at the same time. I walked down Murray Street Mall just yesterday and the vibes were amazing. Sadly, this time of celebration has been dampened by the news of another white supremacist being arrested in Western Australia. I learned of this development through the media while attending prayers at my local mosque during Ramadan yesterday evening. I love WA, and I believe that this man isn’t representative of the place that I love and will soon raise my daughter in. Hope will overcome hate.Contact details:…
