Key Facts:

·       Draws up to 800 watts when using a BTF Graphics Card High-Power Adapter on an Advanced BTF motherboard and connect to a power supply

·       Ultimate cooling with quad-fan design, copper vapor chamber, and liquid metal thermal compound

·       3-ounce copper PCB layer enhances heat dissipation and reduces voltage drops, while Memory Defroster aids VRAM freeze recovery during LN2 overclocking

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) announced the launch of the ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 5090 — ASUS Graphics Cards 30th Anniversary Edition. Celebrating three decades of ASUS innovation, the ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card delivers unprecedented gaming and thermal performance. When paired with an Advanced BTF motherboard and a 12V-2x6 power supply, it can draw up to 800 watts and achieve up to a 10% performance boost.

The ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 5090 features a quad-fan design, a copper vapor chamber, liquid metal thermal compound, a three-ounce copper PCB for efficient GPU cooling and higher boost clocks, plus Memory Defroster for extreme LN2 overclocking. Combining a famed legacy with cutting-edge technology, the ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 5090 stakes its claim for GPU supremacy.

Ultimate cooling design

Four-fan design creates a powerful vertical airflow channel that boosts air pressure by up to 20%. In addition, a mirror-finish vapor chamber with heat pipes plus select heatsink fins made of pure copper boosts heat dissipation efficiency. This innovative combo maximizes contact surface and helps to lower GPU temperatures by more than 5%. Liquid metal on the GPU die also enables incredible thermal efficiency to achieve breakthrough performance. Employing an exclusive production method, this graphics card securely contains the liquid metal within the die area for safe and reliable operation.

Three-ounce copper layer and Memory Defroster

A three-ounce copper layer helps reduce voltage drops for stable overclocking while also enhancing heat dissipation for improved voltage-regulator cooling. When venturing into liquid nitrogen overclocking, the integrated Memory Defroster automatically activates at around 0°C. This helps ensure stable operation, addressing memory-related freezes and empowering gamers to chase world-record scores with confidence.

GPU Tweak III

ASUS GPU Tweak III software can be used with the ROG Matrix RTX 5090 to enable easy tuning and to monitor performance. It gives users an in-depth look at a card’s telemetry and status and makes it easy to adjust various parameters. It also features hardware-based level sensors that integrate with GPU Tweak III to let users know if there is any card sag. Users can even run a calibration to lock in the card’s current position so that they can receive a popup notification should the card ever drop past the threshold that they specify. The ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 5090 also gets access to the app’s Power Detector+ feature, which can let users know if there are potential issues with the way that power is being supplied to the card. If a fault is detected, users will be notified immediately to reseat the power cable.
