iSEE Church Carina Proclaims "Hope Is Born" This Christmas Eve

Brisbane, QLD December 2025

As families across Brisbane prepare for Christmas celebrations, iSEE Church Carina is inviting the community to experience the transformative message that "Hope Is Born" through a special Christmas Eve service on December 24.

With a service at 7 PM at 8 Ellen Street, Carina, Senior Pastor Paul Geerling will be proclaiming a message of present, tangible hope—not something distant or abstract, but hope that has arrived and is available to everyone.

"The Christmas story isn't about hoping that someday things might get better," says Pastor Paul. "It's the bold declaration that hope has actually arrived. Hope is here. Hope has a name, and His name is Jesus. And that changes everything about how we face life's challenges."

Hope You Can Touch

Pastor Paul emphasises that the hope celebrated at Christmas isn't a feeling or a philosophy, it's a person. Jesus Christ entered human history at a specific time and place, bringing hope into the here and now.

"Too often, hope feels like something we're chasing—always just out of reach," he explains. "But Christmas turns that on its head. Jesus, the hope of the world, came looking for us. He stepped into our world. Hope is here, present and available, not someday but today."

Why "Hope Is Here" Matters Now

In an era when many Queenslander's are navigating economic pressures, personal struggles, and an uncertain future, the message that hope has already arrived, that it's present and accessible right now, offers powerful reassurance.

"When you're in the middle of difficulty, the last thing you need is vague promises about the future," Pastor Paul notes. "You need to know that help is available now, that you're not alone now, that there's strength for today. That's what 'Hope Is Here' means, Jesus is not distant, He's not theoretical. He's present with you in this moment."

Hope That Transforms Today

The Christmas Eve service will explore how recognising that hope is here, not coming someday, but present now, fundamentally changes how people navigate their circumstances, relationships, and future.

"Once you grasp that hope isn't something you have to wait for or earn, it transforms how you live," says Pastor Paul. "You face today differently when you know Jesus is already with you. You approach challenges with courage instead of despair. You extend grace to others because you've experienced His grace yourself."

FUTURES CHURCH Media Alert Celebrate Hope This Christmas at Futures Church Christmas is a season that reminds us of something the world desperately needs: hope. "The loss of hope contributes to significant mental health challenges," said Pastor Josh Greenwood, Lead Pastor, Futures Church Australia. "When people lose hope, they lose their sense of direction and purpose. But Christmas reminds us that hope is not just wishful thinking, it's anchored in something real." Over 2,000 years ago, hope arrived in the most unexpected way—a baby born in a manger, bringing light into darkness and promise into uncertainty. "Hope changes everything. It…
