WOOLWORTHS JOINS DOORDASH IN A MAJOR WIN
FOR AUSTRALIAN GROCERY SHOPPERS

11 December: In a huge win for Australian consumers, DoorDash today announced that Woolworths, the nation’s largest supermarket, is joining the DoorDash platform. This partnership marks a major moment for DoorDash, and represents a significant shift in Australia’s on-demand grocery landscape, bringing customers more choice and greater access to the fresh produce, everyday essentials and the weekly favourites they rely on.

Through the DoorDash app, Australians will soon be able to browse and purchase a wide range of Woolworths products, including pantry staples, fresh food and household essentials, with fast and reliable delivery from Woolworths stores nationwide.

DoorDash provides a marketplace with major national grocers and independent local favourites alike, giving consumers the freedom to compare, discover new options and choose the best value for their needs.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Woolworths to DoorDash. Woolworths is Australia’s largest supermarket and their arrival soon on our platform reflects our commitment to expanding choice, convenience and value for customers,” Vice President APAC, DoorDash Simon Rossi said.

“DoorDash provides the most broad and diverse grocery selections available on any third party delivery platform in the country - a huge win for Australian consumers who are looking for value and convenience. Consumer choice is at the heart of what we do at DoorDash, and with Woolworths joining our platform, we’re more excited than ever to bring even more grocery selection to more households across the country,” Vice President APAC Simon Rossi said.

“Customers continue to look for more fast and flexible options to fulfill their grocery needs, and we continue to invest in a range of On Demand options to meet customers where they are,” said Woolworths Group Managing Director, eComX, Amitabh Mall.

“Partnering now with DoorDash allows us to add another convenient option that will leverage our extensive store network to reach more customers, more often, through platforms they already use every day,” Woolworths Group Managing Director, eComX, Amitabh Mall.

DoorDash is proud to champion an open and diverse grocery ecosystem in Australia - one that supports a wide range of grocers and empowers Australian customers to shop the way that suits them best, cementing its place as the go-to app for groceries, restaurants, pharmacies and restaurant reservations.

Woolworths will begin rolling out nationally on DoorDash soon.
