Get active for your brain health and beat dementia in Cronulla!

Dementia Australia 2 mins read

The 2026 Cronulla Memory Walk & Jog is just weeks away, with the event taking place on Sunday 1 March at Don Lucas Reserve, Cronulla.

As Dementia Australia’s largest annual fundraising initiative, Memory Walk & Jog brings communities together to get active, get connected and support Australians living with dementia, their families and carers.

More than 141,800 people are living with dementia in New South Wales. Dementia is now the leading cause of death for Australians, and without significant intervention, the number of Australians living with dementia is expected to increase to more than one million by 2065.

In 2026, 14 events are scheduled nation-wide, giving people across Australia the opportunity to take part. You can find your closest event at memorywalk.com.au/find-an-event.

Come together with your community for a fun, family-friendly day where people of all ages and abilities can walk, jog or run to support the 433,300 Australians living with dementia and 1.7 million people involved in their care. Each event is a welcoming space to connect, share stories, and raise much needed funds for Dementia Australia.

As the number of Australians impacted by dementia continues to grow, it is more important than ever that we raise funds and encourage everyone to get active for their brain health.

Funds raised through the Cronulla emory Walk & Jog will help Dementia Australia to deliver vital support services, expand life-changing programs and drive innovative research, helping to bring us closer to a future where dementia no longer impacts Australian families. Get active and show your support, sign-up to participate in Memory Walk & Jog or volunteer at https://www.memorywalk.com.au/event/cronulla/home.

Can’t attend Memory Walk & Jog but want to be involved? Organise your own group or individual walk or jog, with a MyWay event. Choose your own date and location and register at www.memorywalk.com.au/get-involved/mw.
