Food and beverage manufacturing remains one of Australia’s most significant industrial sectors, underpinning domestic food supply chains, supporting exports and employing tens of thousands nationwide. As food manufacturers face mounting pressure to modernise operations, lift productivity and meet sustainability and regulatory expectations, industry leaders will gather in Melbourne in 2026 to examine how the sector is responding.
foodpro 2026, returning to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 26–29 July, will bring together solution providers, industry bodies and manufacturing professionals from across the food and beverage supply chain. The four-day event will focus on innovation across processing, packaging and digital manufacturing, as food and beverage manufacturers adapt to rising costs, workforce constraints and changing market demands.
After a three-year gap, foodpro returns to showcase the rapid evolution of food and beverage manufacturing technology. From AI-powered quality control systems to breakthrough sustainable packaging materials and fully automated processing lines, the event will highlight the innovations that have emerged since 2023. Attendees will experience solutions spanning ingredients, processing equipment, packaging, logistics and digital factory systems through live demonstrations, supplier engagement with 400+ providers, and expert presentations on the automation and sustainability advances now available to Australian manufacturers.
The event is expected to attract professionals from across food and beverage manufacturing, processing, packaging and engineering, as well as roles spanning research and development, quality assurance, sustainability, operations, procurement and government.
foodpro will again co-locate the Australian Institute of Food Science & Technology Conference (AIFST26), held over two days on Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 July 2026. The conference will bring together food science and technology professionals to examine current research, regulatory developments and industry challenges.
Attendance at foodpro is free for industry professionals, with registration now open at www.foodproexpo.com.
