Solargain Raised $1800 for The Hunger Project Australia in 2025

Australian renewable energy company Solargain has partnered with The Hunger Project Australia to support its mission to sustainably end world hunger and poverty, with a focus on empowering women in vulnerable communities.

Through their collaboration with Perth-based sustainable home architecture company Solar Dwellings, Solargain donates $200 or more to The Hunger Project Australia for every solar package installed in a Solar Dwellings home.

Solargain raised $1800 in 2025 for The Hunger Project Australia through this partnership, for a total of $4,100 since July 2023.

Jennifer Delmarre, Solargain Senior Marketing Coordinator, explained how this partnership exemplifies the company’s mission to invest in the lives of others and lead the way towards a sustainable energy future.

“This partnership embodies our core values by showcasing leadership in social responsibility,” she said. “Solargain distinguishes itself by not merely providing solar solutions but taking proactive steps to support communities facing critical challenges.”

A Successful Partnership with The Hunger Project Australia

With an estimated 45 million children under 5 suffering from acute malnutrition, hunger is expected to worsen globally due to compounding crises, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the war in Ukraine, and climate change.

The Hunger Project Australia addresses hunger at its root by working in partnership with local governments across multiple countries, mobilising communities, and prioritising women’s leadership.

Solargain's initiative links household investment in solar panels, battery storage, and energy-efficient hot water heat pumps with direct funding for global hunger and poverty solutions, demonstrating how sustainable housing choices can deliver both environmental and social impact.

“We aim to inspire our prospects by showing that sustainability and social responsibility can go hand in hand, collectively driving towards a brighter future for all," Jennifer explained.
