Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry 2 mins read

Australia’s most senior political leaders will come together in Melbourne when Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Premier of Victoria Jacinta Allan and Leader of the Victorian Opposition Jess Wilson headline the Victorian Chamber and Herald Sun Present: Future Victoria Summit on Wednesday 25 February 2026.

Presented by Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in partnership with the Herald Sun, the Future Victoria Summit will bring together political leaders, industry experts and business decision-makers to explore what’s next for Victoria and how the State can grow smarter, stronger and more competitive.

Returning in 2026, the Future Victoria Summit will focus on building a SMART Victoria, with discussions centred on smart growth across digital innovation, education and skills, connectivity, infrastructure and visitor experiences.

Across the program, attendees will hear forward-looking insights on how Victoria can embrace technology, foster talent, improve liveability and strengthen our position as a dynamic hub for business, major events and economic development.

With a state election approaching, the Future Victoria Summit provides a rare opportunity to hear directly from leaders across the political spectrum and to engage in the conversations shaping Victoria’s future.

Below can be attributed to Act for Kids: Act for Kids is thinking of everyone impacted by the horrific allegations emerging from Queensland, where a Maryborough man has been charged with 596 offences relating to the alleged online grooming of 459 children through games and social media platforms. These children and their families will need significant support to process, understand and heal from any trauma that they have allegedly experienced. Protecting children is everybody's business and requires a whole-of-community approach. Parents and carers can help keep their kids safe online by simply being in the same room as them when…

Defence land sell-off presents generational opportunity for South Australia

The Australian Institute of Architects South Australia Chapter welcomes the Federal Government’s announcement that it will progress the sale of surplus Defence land, including four sites in South Australia identified for divestment. South Australia’s Defence properties represent rare and strategically located precincts that warrant careful stewardship as they transition from Commonwealth use. “These places hold deep cultural and architectural value. Some are also rare inner-city precincts with the scale to deliver enduring public benefit if the next chapter is shaped with care,” said Adam Haddow, National President, Australian Institute of Architects.
