Media Alert

This Good Friday April 3, children and adults alike can get their chocolate fix at Bendigo’s (and arguably Victoria's) biggest easter egg hunt, all while giving back to a good cause.

Hosted by Vision Australia, all ticket proceeds from this one-day event will go towards providing specialised vision services and programs for people living with blindness and low vision in Bendigo and surrounding areas.

Vision Australia Acting Regional Client Lead for Northeast and Central Victoria, Gemma Sigley, said the event has become a staple of the wider Bendigo Easter Festival.

“We are delighted to bring this event back to the community of Bendigo, with a record 100,000 eggs available," said Gemma.

"We’ve taken great measures to ensure that people of all ages and abilities can participate, with 23 hunts taking place across the day. There will also be an accessible sensory hunt and an accessible mobility hunt so that everyone can join in on the fun.

“Plus, parents can rest easy knowing that each egg will be hidden in non-allergenic wood-wool.”
