Final spots available as Latrobe community prepares for charity fundraiser at Yallourn Golf Club

LATROBE CITY, VIC – The Latrobe City Business Chamber will host its Annual Golf Day Charity Event on Friday, 13th March, bringing together the local business community to raise vital funds for Lifeline Gippsland's crisis support and suicide prevention services.

With registration opening at 1pm and tee-off at 2pm, the event at Yallourn Golf Club offers one of the final opportunities this year for local professionals to network while supporting mental health services that operate 24 hours a day across the region.

"We're seeing strong interest from right across the Valley, which shows how much our business community values giving back," says Peter Ceeney, President of the Latrobe City Business Chamber. "Our annual charity golf day is about more than just sport, it's about coming together as a community to support people in crisis."

The relaxed 9-hole, 3-person Ambrose format has been specifically designed to welcome participants of all abilities, from experienced golfers to complete beginners. Registrations are still being accepted, with organisers arranging teams for solo attendees.

At just $55 per person, participants will enjoy hot and cold canapés throughout the afternoon and with door prizes donated by Yallourn Golf Club. A charity refreshment buggy will operate during play, with all proceeds directed to Lifeline Gippsland.

Cindy Pullar, CEO of Lifeline Gippsland, will address participants about the organisation's local impact. "Partnering with the Chamber allows us to reach the business community directly," Pullar says. "The funds raised through ticket sales and the event's charity refreshment buggy will stay right here in Gippsland to help us answer the calls of those in need."

With suicide prevention and mental health support remaining critical issues across regional Victoria, Friday's event represents a tangible way for local businesses to contribute to community wellbeing.

For those unable to attend, a donation portal is available through the event booking page, allowing community members to support Lifeline Gippsland directly.

Last-minute registrations are available at Trybooking with links on the Business Chamber website and social media pages.
