Auckland, New Zealand [March 17, 2026] – Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), a global provider of critical digital infrastructure, today announced two strategic appointments in Auckland, reinforcing its commitment to customers across New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

Rick Zhang has been named head of sales, New Zealand and Pacific Islands, where he will lead the company’s regional sales strategy, and customer engagement initiatives. With more than 20 years of experience across electrical, power protection, and digital infrastructure sectors, Zhang brings a proven track record in expanding market presence, and delivering infrastructure solutions across commercial, industrial, and data centre environments.

Zhang joins Vertiv from ABB, where he held senior sales and business development leadership roles, most recently as national sales manager for power protection. Earlier in his career, Zhang held sales and account management roles with Helios Power Solutions Group, Enertec Power Solutions Ltd., and Rittal ANZ, building extensive experience in uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, power distribution, and critical infrastructure projects.

“New Zealand and the Pacific Islands are an important and fast-evolving market for Vertiv,” said Zhang. “As organisations modernise their digital infrastructure, there is growing demand for resilient, energy-efficient, and scalable solutions. Strengthening our local presence enables us to be well positioned to support customers with the expertise and partnership they need.”

Additionally, Liam McKeown joins Vertiv New Zealand as territory sales specialist, supporting customers throughout New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. With more than 17 years of experience across technology and electrical industries, McKeown brings expertise in business development and technical sales. Prior to joining Vertiv, he held roles with Ingram Micro in both business development and solutions architecture, supporting channel partners and customers with technology infrastructure solutions.

Based in Auckland, Zhang and McKeown will work closely with customers, consultants, and partners to address evolving digital infrastructure requirements across data centres, commercial facilities, industrial environments, and critical applications.

“Across the ANZ region, our customers are operating in increasingly complex and mission-critical environments. Strengthening our New Zealand team reflects Vertiv’s long-term commitment to investing in local expertise, deepening partnerships, and positioning us to support the resilience, performance, and growth ambitions of organisations in the region” said LuLu Shiraz, country head and senior director – sales, Australia and New Zealand.
