GMHBA recognised in 2026 Finder Customer Satisfaction Awards

GMHBA 2 mins read

Not-for-profit private health insurer GMHBA has been recognised in the 2026 Finder Customer Satisfaction Awards, receiving Highly Commended acknowledgements in three categories after more than 50,000 Australians were surveyed across the program.

GMHBA was recognised for Value – Health Insurance, Easy to Claim – Health Insurance, and Recommended Brand – Health Insurance, reflecting strong member sentiment about affordability, ease of use and overall satisfaction with their health insurer.

The recognition comes during a period of significant growth and transformation for the Geelong-based organisation.

Over the past several years GMHBA has expanded its workforce, strengthening its capability while continuing to invest in services for members and the local community. The organisation has also experienced strong growth in its health services business as more members* choose to access care through its integrated health model.

At the same time, GMHBA has maintained a strong focus on delivering value for members.

The fund recorded the lowest average premium increase in the market for 2026 at just 1.98%, marking the fourth consecutive year its increases have been below the industry average. Member feedback has remained consistently strong, with record customer satisfaction and complaint levels well below the industry benchmark.

GMHBA has also continued to grow its membership base, with recent figures placing the fund among the fastest-growing health insurers^ in Australia.

Chief Marketing Officer Helen Stevens said the Finder recognition was especially meaningful because it reflected feedback directly from Australians.

“Being recognised for value, ease of claiming and as a recommended brand shows that our focus on delivering quality, accessible health insurance is resonating with members,” she said.

“As a not-for-profit insurer, our priority is always to reinvest back into services, care and support for our members. Recognition like this tells us we’re on the right track.”
