Adelaide’s Most Prolific Vasectomy Practitioner Establishes State’s First Dedicated Procedure Facility

Vasectomy Australia 2 mins read
Key Facts:
  • State's First Dedicated Facility: Vasectomy Australia launches Adelaide’s only standalone clinic focused exclusively on no-scalpel vasectomy procedures.

  • High-Volume Care: Led by Dr Geoff Cashion, who performs approximately 26% of all vasectomies in South Australia based on Medicare data.

  • Enhanced Patient Privacy: The relocation to Beulah Park moves the service out of busy general practices into a private, streamlined environment.

ADELAIDE, SAVasectomy Australia, the nation’s largest provider of permanent male contraception, has announced a major evolution in South Australian healthcare infrastructure. The organisation is launching Adelaide’s only dedicated, standalone vasectomy clinic, moving from its long-term medical centre base to a bespoke, independent facility in Beulah Park.

The clinic is led by Dr Geoff Cashion, a highly experienced practitioner who has been serving the local community for more than two decades. According to recent Medicare Australia data, Dr Cashion performs approximately 26% of all vasectomy procedures in South Australia, making his practice the highest-volume service of its kind in the state.

Since 2020, Dr Cashion has operated his successful Adelaide service out of the Trinity Gardens Medical Centre on Portrush Road. The relocation represents a deliberate shift away from the traditional model of shared general practice environments.

"Moving to a standalone facility allows us to completely re-imagine the patient experience for men," said Dr Geoff Cashion, Founder of Vasectomy Australia. "Instead of navigating a busy, multi-purpose medical centre, our patients will enter a highly focused, modern environment designed exclusively for this single, minor procedure. It maximises clinical efficiency, streamlines patient privacy, and elevates the standard of care."

New Clinic Details: Effective immediately, all Adelaide consultations and procedures will take place at the new facility, located just a few hundred metres from the previous location:

Vasectomy Australia - Adelaide

252a Magill Road, Beulah Park SA 5067

The new Beulah Park clinic features modern procedural suites specifically equipped for the "no-scalpel" vasectomy technique—a minimally invasive approach performed under local anaesthetic that requires no stitches and minimises patient recovery time.

With a national footprint of 41 clinics, Vasectomy Australia's transition to a dedicated facility model in Adelaide sets a new benchmark for how focused, minor surgical health services are delivered to Australian men.

Diphtheria outbreak highlights need for better nursing workforce planning

The most severe diphtheria outbreak in more than 30 years underscores the urgent need for stronger workforce planning to ensure proper health coverage across all remote areas of Australia, the Australian College of Nursing (ACN) said today. ACN Acting Chief Executive Officer, Dr Zach Byfield, said persistent difficulties filling nursing and GP positions in remote and regional Australia were directly undermining the country’s ability to prevent and respond to outbreaks like this one. "Our health and workforce challenges are such that we cannot afford to continue to fly without a proper map,” Dr Byfield said. "Now, more than ever, we…
