In partnership with the Queensland Government, Motherland is hosting a sold-out event in Rockhampton this Saturday, bringing together 200 rural mums to celebrate rural motherhood and promote connection, support and mental wellbeing for mums on the land.  

Motherland is a national charity dedicated to reducing isolation and improving the mental health of rural mothers through online support programs, events, advocacy and connection initiatives supporting women across Australia.

Media are invited to interview Motherland Founder and CEO, Steph Trethewey, pre-event via phone or Zoom, and or attend the event in person this Saturday to cover the day. 

The event is this Saturday 30th May at the Shearing Shed, Rockhampton Heritage Village from 11.30am - 2.30pm, featuring lunch and a panel facilitated by Steph Trethewey, with three local mums from the region and beyond discussing the highs and lows of rural motherhood. 

Donna Kirkland MP will also attend and speak on behalf of the Queensland Government and Motherland Chair and ex-politician, Bronnie Taylor will also be in attendance.
